How long can I borrow a book or other item?

Answer

Different items have different check out periods, but will basically fall in to the following categories*:

Reserves = varies from 3 hours to 1 week

DVDs = 1 week

Regular Undergraduate = 30 days

Regular Graduate = 45 days

Regular Faculty/Staff = 90 days

*all check outs, except reserves, are renewable for an additional period as long as there is no hold for the item at the time of renewal.
